Aye well i need to speak english if i want to understand games...

And aye... i did play wow and you needed english in it everyday for many hours.
so my skills in it have incrased to good enough.

I think I learned English from games, tv etc. When i was younger i played Runescape and many other games where you had to know English. And watched a lot of tv shows where they talked English.

Since people from abroad doesn't use this site, this is pretty worthless, but I like the idea anyway.

Sorry that I response so late but we can think why they can't use this forum, or why they was not using this? Maybe because there was not English area before and so it was almost impossible to find this forum on Google etc. from English person's perspective.

And I don't mind if we just discuss with our selves, but of course I would like to see people around the world.

So I think that it is good to discuss at least in this topic.

PS. Lets not swear here, I hope that I don't have to use force by banning. Same rules apply here as in Finnish area too.

It is my opinion, that one single section for foreign people does not make this forum any more popular amongst 'em. I think, that if we want more foreign people to share their thoughts here, we need to translate all the sections in English. And that would be kinda hostile solution for most of the Finnish people visiting here. I, myself would be amused by it, but I can see that many people are very uncomfortable with English.

And please, you don't have to add "sry for bad English" in the end of everyone of your posts. We do understand that someone might not be capable to write perfect English, don't we?

And, we don't have to correct every mistake, someone makes. That just scares 'em off. So please. Try to be polite. (<--- That means no cursing either!)

I don't remebember did I learn english from the TV so much myself. It's nice to see that people still likes english unlike all of my friends. Their enunciation kinda sucks too.

But how do you like to spell this language? I see that people here writes well correct english, not using letters to offset whole words, like "You = U", "Are = R". That's too Youtube in my opinion...

I learned English in games, music and music. Of course in school, but there will not learn everything.

Oh and from music of course. Forgot to mention that.
And it's true that you can't learn good english from school. You really "need" internet, tv and music to get that. And of course a motivation.

Trauma: I do use "U" and "R" in chats and some games for example. But in forums I think you should write like the Finnish says "kirjakielellä." Smart huh? Didn't know the word so...

I agree, the "R" 's and "U" 's are for chats and etc. but I often do write wwords as they are pronounced, like " 'em " or " 'bout " or " 'cos "... I don't know why, maybe it's just an old habit... (And also, I use THX too often. It often starts to irritate people.

I think I learned English mostly from TV. That was the undryable source of English TV mush. That's where I learned most of my English. ^^ (God I so love this language)

But! I have to admit, that FINNISH artists sound much better to me. Why? Because of the lyrics. I believe, that as a Finnish person, I get much more emotions and "anything else" out of genious lyrics which are written in Finnish. I guess that's just the way it is.
Eg. Eppu Normaali - Vahingossa vain ---> "Näyt sielua suomien, takana mun luomien, läpi synkkien uomien, tie rakkauden..." Sounds freaking good! Especially "näyt silmiä suomien". You just can't get that awesome feeling in any English lyrics, that comes from that piece of sentece!! "Visions slamming my eyes" <--- Quite poor?

I would say, that "will not" is more correct as "wont"? Isn't it?

Well of course there can´t learn everything!! If you want to learn english, you must travel to the L.A or to Bronx, really... Or somewhere sucha place, where people speak much and without mistakes english, get it?
